The delegation of the Central Economic Committee surveyed the economic, trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and China in the province
On the morning of December 11, 2020, the delegation led by Mr. Cao Duc Phat, Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Economic Affairs, surveyed the situation of economic, trade and investment cooperationbetween Vietnam and China, especially in the field of agricultural trade in the province. Receiving and working with the delegation were Mrs. Doan Thu Ha, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of some departments and sectors of the province.
The delegation surveyed at the commodity transport specialized route of Tan Thanh (Vietnam) - Puzhai (China)
According to the work program, the delegation surveyed a number of warehouse, specialized routes for goods import and export at Tan Thanh border gate, HuuNghi international border gate.
Afterwards, the delegation worked with the Management Board of Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone, City Party Committee, Lang Son City People's Committee and a number of investment enterprises in the province. According to the report at the meeting, at HuuNghi international border gate, traffic road system, inter-sector work building, public service house, warehouse system etc. have been invested synchronously. The total export and import turnover from the beginning of 2020 to now has reached 1.3 billion USD, decreasing18.4% over the same period in 2019.
Speaking at the meeting, Mrs. Doan Thu Ha, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that from the beginning of 2020 up to now, during the development of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Provincial People's Committee directed the effective implementation of the dual task which was ensuring epidemic prevention while facilitating goods custom clearance through border gates in the area. At the same time, she affirmed that the province always paid attention, directed and facilitated the development of border infrastructure, creating favorable conditions for businesses to invest, import and export across the area. Thereby, it helps promote economic, trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and China, especially in the field of agricultural trade in the province.
Concluding the meeting, the Head of the delegation highly appreciated the efforts of the province and functional forces in developing border infrastructure, facilitating trade, import and export activities across the area.
