Mau Son Tourism Festival 2020

On July 4, 2020, the Provincial Tourism Development Steering Committee held the Opening ceremony of Mau Son Tourism Festival in 2020 and celebrated the 60th establishment anniversary of Vietnam's tourism industry July 9, 1960 - July 9 /2020. Attending the ceremony  were Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Long Hai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Tourism Development Steering Committee; representatives of General Department of Tourism, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders of departments, commissions, sectors, districts, city and a large number of people and tourists.

Delivering the opening speech at the Festival, Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that Mau Son was a potential tourist destination of the province with beautiful natural landscape, unique cultural values, rare products, diverse cuisine. With these conditions and potentials for tourism development, on February 20, 2017, the Prime Minister approved the master plan for the development of Mau Son National Tourist Area in Lang Son Province until 2030. Tourism Festival Mau Son 2020 was the cultural festival of people of ethnic groups in the province and many tourists throughout the country and  also one of the annual activities of the province to promote and introduce tourism resource in Mau Son tourist area, at the same time, responding to the domestic tourism stimulating program "Vietnamese travel in Vietnam".

At the festival, there were special cultural and sports activities including Marathon conquering Mau Son peak with the participation of more than 300 athletes from all over the country and the participation of 2 famous running athletics who won the Gold Medal at SEA GAME 30, the Tay, Nung, Dao ethnic art and cultural exchange program, exhibitions and photo displays of Lang Son Cultural Heritage, Mau Son highland market space for exhibiting typical local products and tourism products, traditional Mau Son alcohol-making performances, chicken fighting and Lay co competition ...

Mr. Nguyen Long Hai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded the decision to recognize Fairy Pagoda – Fairy Well tourist site  and Dang Mo waterfall ecological tourist destination.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of the province announced and awarded the decision to recognize the Fairy Pagoda–Fairy Well tourist site, Lang Son city and the Dang Mo waterfall ecotourism site, BinhGia district.

Mau Son Tourism Festival will take place from July 4 to July 9, 2020. /.
